Becky Vocaire

I received a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design at the University of Cincinnati’s highly regarded College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning before working at commercial architecture firms in Atlanta and Chicago. After taking a side trip in pastry by attending the French Pastry School in Chicago and a stint at the Bakery at Cakes & Ale, I continued with my first love of design focusing on residential interiors in the Atlanta area.

With over 15 years of design experience, I have a special focus on remodeling, whole home renovation, space planning and custom millwork design.

Now that we have the formalities out of the way…

I simply love the idea of “home”. Making them comfortable and turning them into your happy place is something I love.  Regardless of whether you have pets or kiddos, your home can be beautiful too. Every project is customized to you and your family. It is your home and it is my goal to make it a true reflection of you.

(Oh, and I will more than likely bake for you along the way)

Testimonials

“My husband and I had dreamed of a kitchen/dining/living room remodel for years and finally decided it was time to move forward after meeting with Becky. She took ideas that were in our heads which we couldn’t articulate and put them together into a plan beyond our dreams. Vocaire made what is a stressful and oftentimes surprising process into one that took away any anxiousness and replaced it with joy and anticipation. Becky’s ideas for the layout and all the furnishings represent the contemporary and eclectic style we love. We stayed on budget and on time with the full project which only added to the appreciation we had. You know you have made a smart choice with your designer when you walk through your remodeled home on a daily basis and it still makes you smile and want to pinch yourself because you can’t believe how lucky you are to live in a home as beautiful as you do, thanks to Becky. Our home is total happiness to us! “

Green Bathroom, Taste-ful Interiors, Decatur GA

“Our project was a new home construction and we wanted a designer to help us with everything from selecting bathroom tile to new furniture for every room in the house – literally everything! Having gone through this process and being in our dream home, I cannot recommend Becky Vocaire and Taste-ful Interiors highly enough.

One of the great gifts Becky brings is that she knows A LOT about A LOT, so she brings knowledge, experience and ideas to the table with other experts in their fields. She is collaborative, a great communicator, humble, and an advocate for her clients. She does not always have to be right, but she will never let something that is not right go without getting fixed.

When the house was completed, I cannot tell you how many compliments we got about “our taste” or “the lighting” or “the wallpaper” or “that tile”. It was ALL Becky.

We were looking for a good designer and we truly found the best.”

“We made a million decisions during our home renovation project but the BEST one, by far, was hiring Becky Vocaire. She took time to understand our taste, suggested creative and classy options we could never have come up with on our own and was a joy to work with. She listened, never pushed anything, and considered our budget when making suggestions. She was quick to take initiative and coordinate with various subcontractors as needed. She helped design our kitchen, assisted in the selection of fixtures, lighting, tile, paint, furniture, and so much more. The result is a home that looks beautiful but feels like “us.” She has been invaluable throughout this project and I can’t recommend Taste-ful Interiors highly enough.”

“When my husband and I began working with Becky Vocaire on a design for a master bathroom, we knew very little about the world of home renovations. The idea of walking into a showroom and choosing tiles, lighting fixtures, or paint colors completely overwhelmed us. It was wonderful to share with Becky our design tastes, must-haves (such as a large soaking tub), and budget, and let her creativity run from there. She presented us with design boards and samples within our basic vision, and we made final decisions from those, which ended up being a fun and stress-free process. Becky’s management of and communication with our contractors ensured that the project ran smoothly and was completed within an appropriate time frame (very important as I was expecting a baby and needed to move back into my bathroom before the birth!). Our completed bathroom is a stunning, modern, peaceful space–a true haven for this harried mom of two young kids at the end of the day. We are excited to work with Becky again on future home improvement projects!”

“Becky’s guidance is invaluable. Instead of debating and discussing design choices as a couple, we will ask “What would Becky do?” and have her make design recommendations that are practical and gorgeous. She does a fantastic job finding furniture and accessories that fit our style, yet also takes us a touch out of our comfort zone in a good way. She creates spaces that are leagues beyond anything we could do ourselves. We partnered with Taste-ful Interiors to design our master addition. She made the whole process easy to execute and visualize. We now have a gorgeous space to enjoy for years to come. We loved working with Becky so much that she is now helping us with our basement remodel!”
